Do you ever just wish you could clone yourself so that you wouldn't miss anything? That's how I feel this week...there are so many great options! Between the Metropolis wine club, the Fuel party and Keystone's party, I'm afraid I might spread myself to thin. One girl can only do so much! Oh, and lets not forget the impending snow storm which will keep me pretty occupied, at least for the first half of the week. For details on the events I mentioned plus a bunch of other options, keep on reading! Tuesday January 27: Metropolis Wine Club, 6:00-8:30pm At The Urban Arts Collective and the Liermann Loft, 3301 & 3303 Meramec Street. Each guest brings a bottle of wine from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand or a plate of appetizers to share. RSVP: at www.mstl.org by Monday, January 26 at 5:00 pm. Wednesday January 28: Twilight, Tapas, and Tango! - A Fuel Fundraiser. 5:30 PM at Modesto - 5257 Shaw Avenue. Help Fuel stay active in 2009 by joining us. Your $15 cover includes complimentary Sangria, cold bottled beer, and tasty tapas. RSVP to kellybutler@fuelforthecity.org Thursday January 29: Keystone Heat-It-Up Happy Hour Fundraiser Party. 6-9pm at Felix's in Dogtown. Your $20 includes full bar, draft beer, martinis and gourmet pizzas. Proceeds benefit Crisis Nursery of St. Louis. Saint Joan at The Loretto Hilton Theatre at 6:30pm-130 Edgar Road. Join The Rep Set for a pre-show party (featuring a buffet from Chanterelle Catering) in the lobby of the new Community Music School (adjacent to the theatre), then enjoy Shaw's masterpiece at 8 pm. Ticket and pre-show party $40. Friday January 30: Fundraiser at Cafe Ventana, 3919 West Pine, 6-8PM. With special guests Kelly Chase and Barret Jackman of the St. Louis Blues. All of the evenings proceeds with benefit the Animal Protective Association of Missouri. Tickets are $25. Advanced tickets available at Cafe Ventana for $20. Join Metropolis for a FREE Saint Louis Symphony happy hour and concert. The concert, Classical Detours-Latin American Carnival is at 6:30 p.m.. The pre-concert happy hour is at 5:30 and includes FREE Schlafly beer sampling This is a casual happy hour show and people are welcome to take their drinks into the theatre with them.
