Here is my weekly list of my top picks of all the great stuff going on around town this week.

I attended Nelly's Black and White Ball last night and have a lot of great pictures and video of the performances as well. I'm prioritizing getting the calendar posted today and hope to post my blog about the ball tomorrow. Please check back!

Wednesday December 3:

United Way's GenNext Holiday Party from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Headquarters Building. $15 in advance, $20 at the door Includes drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Festival of Trees Gala Ball and Auction - 5:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet. The night will include a VIP cocktail party, a cocktail reception, dinner, auctions and dancing.

Thursday December 4:

Young Variety Happy Hour, 6-9pm at Molly Darcys, 26 North Meramec. Drink specials available and 10% of the proceeds will benefit Variety, The Children's Charity of St. Louis.

Historic Holiday Candlelight Tour, 3 to 8 p.m. Visit St. Louis' most historic buildings, decorated for the season. Tickets $20 and include bus transportation and light refreshments.

A Lingerie 5 year anniversary affair at Jule, 10a-8p. Lingerie, loungewear, make up applications, snacks and cocktails. 9757 Clayton Road.

Ware Grand Opening Party, 5-9pm at 137 Carondelet Ave.

Friday December 5:

Alive Magazine's Holiday Party. 9pm at Mandarin

Saturday December 6:

Winter White Gala After Party 9:30p-1a at The St. Louis Central Library

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy "Wild and Swingin' Holiday Party" at the Touhill

Santa "Cause" is coming to town! Join Lucas Lofts from 7pm-midnight along the entertainment district of Washington Avenue for a "Santa guided" restaurant/bar hop! Food and drink specials will be offered at each of Santa's stops.

Stray Rescue's Hope for the Holidays Gala. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year and will take place at Third Degree Glass Factory on Delmar from 6:30-11pm.

December 6-7:

Soulard Holiday Parlour Tour, 10a-4p.
