Here is my weekly list of fun things to do in and around the St. Louis area.

You can catch two free outdoor movies this week, Superbad and Cars. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. The Festival of Nations looks like a great event as well. I'm going to try to get out there especially to sample all the food!

There are lots more things to do listed here...have fun!

Tuesday 8/19:

River City Professionals August Happy Hour from 5:30-9pm at Moulin, 2017 Choteau. Guests are encouraged to bring school supplies to benefit KidSmart.

Thursday 8/21:

Sounds at the Station - Union Station, 5:00 - 8:30pm at the South Plaza Lake Stage. Music: St. Louis All Star Review (featuring Fanfare & Kittie Moller, Ralph Butler, Velvet, Charlie B, Jim Manley, Michele Isam, Steve Leslie, Anita Rosemond).

Outdoor movie - Soulard Farmer's Market. Superbad starts at sunset.

Parties at the Plaza- Westport Plaza (5-8pm).

Friday 8/22:

Jungle Boogie at the zoo-Friday night free concert series. 5-8 pm, Central Plaza.

Lush One Year Anniversary Party, 9PM.

Saturday 8/23:

Metropolis Lot Party - Schlafly Tap Room parking lot, 4pm-1:30am. Since 1998, The Lot has invited St. Louisans and visitors to enjoy local music, food, Schlafly beer, and performances along with a variety of booths and displays from local business and non-profit organizations as a part of Metropolis' ongoing mission to promote our city and all it has to offer.

Outdoor movie - Lafayette Square. Cars starts at 8:30PM.

Saturday & Sunday 8/23 and 8/24:

Festival of Nations - Tower Grove Park. Sat. 10am-7pm; Sun. 10am-6pm. Multicultural festival featuring ethnic and dance performances, authentic food and crafts.

Sunday 8/24:

Musical Nights in Oak Knoll Park - at the NW corner of Big Bend Boulevard and Clayton Road. 5-7pm. Music: Hillbilly Authority
