When I first came to St. Louis, I searched for some type of calendar that highlighted the types of events that I would be interested in attending.

The Gateway Arch

I really enjoy showing off the city of St. Louis to friends who are visiting from out of town. My friend Kili was here a few days ago from Cincinnati and we had to put going to the arch at the top of our list.

If you've never been, what are you waiting for? The view is incredible and the wait usually isn't terribly long. Plus there are lots of things to do to keep you busy while you're waiting for your tram time. There is a free museum, a museum store and a few different movies you can pay to watch. The movie that documents the building of the arch is very interesting...I would recommend that one for sure! The ride to the top is only four minutes and while it's a little tight, it's really not that bad. My friend is a bit claustrophobic and she did just fine with it. Once you get to the top, the views are great and you can linger as long as you want. Don't forget your cameras! Click here for the video!
