October 2009 ArchivesGreat, the Cardinals will meet with Scott Boras. I'm all for signing Matt Holliday to a REASONABLE contract. And if Holliday gives any indication that he's not trying to break the bank then I think the Cardinals should be all in. But, Boras is not a guy that encourages cheap labor. The minute Holliday says he's going to explore the market, the Cardinals need to move to Plan B. For me, that would be signing Mark DeRosa and John Smoltz(to an inc... I know it's tough to ask a fan base to be patient after fans have watched their team lose 32 of the past 37 games. But I'll say now what I said when Steve Spagnuolo took the job--it's going to take some time. The Rams were never going to be a quick-fix turnaround. The team's demise was years in the making. It took several years of bad personnel decisions coupled with poor leadership to kill the product. Now, it will take more than one... All the statistical, analytical information points to an easy Vikings win. The Rams defense hasn't been great but it h... The streak has hit 14 games. The Rams are the new Lions. As unpleasant as that sounds it's how the rest of the NFL views the team. And it won't change until the Rams figure out a way to win some games. Cutting down on turnovers is the obvious course of action. But, if I may disgaree with the head coach here, I think penalties are as crushing as the turnovers. The Rams lead the league with 32 penalties. The 49ers, by contrast, have com...
