Kyle Lohse's defense deserted him again. A Brendan Ryan error cost him in the first inning. Well, it was an error until the scorer changed it to a hit later. (It's almost impossible to be charged with an error these days---don't get Doug Vaughn started on that subject). So, Lohse was charged with seven runs in four innings at Coors Field today.

After a great start, Lohse has been battered in his last two starts, surrendering 15 earned runs in ten innings for an unsightly ERA of 13.50. He'll get a chance to get back on track next Tuesday when the Cards host the Pirates,.
