Albert Pujols showed his MVP mettle today by quelling the All Star controversy. The last thing the Cardinals needed was any sort of rift heading into the second half of the season. Albert closed the door on any such controversy today. Fans will continue to talk about it but the Cardinals need to focus on playing better baseb... Stupid. That describes Bud Selig's decision to base home field advantage in the World Series on the outcome of the All Star Game. The game is nothing more than an exhibition, a one night showcase for the game's best players. It should have zero impact on what happens in October.
