Just before 9:45 pm there was a homicide in the 5000 block of Geraldine in north city. The victim has been identified as 19 year old Demetrious Rhone. According to police the victim and another person were sitting outside when a red vehicle with tinted windows drove by and someone inside began firing shots. At 8:30pm Saturday police responded to shooting in the 5900 block of Wabada. Upon arrival police found a 23 year old female shot in the thigh. According to the victim she was standing on the street when a heavy set black male walking on the sidewalk got into an argument with people in a vehicle. Caseyville police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Econo Lodge Hotel just before 9 am this morning. Authorities say two men robbed a female acquaintance in a hotel room. According to the victim the two suspects threatened her at gunpoint, took her money and then fled. Brooklyn Police and Illinois State Police are investigating the shooting of Amos Blanchard, age 35, of St. Louis, Missouri. At approximately 3:27 a.m. on August 23, 2009, Blanchard was shot inside the Pink Slip Nightclub after a verbal altercation. Blanchard was transported to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. His injuries are thought to be non-life threatening. Police are investigating a shooting in the 4100 block of Oregon. The incident took place at around 10:30 pm Friday. The victim is a 21 year old male who was standing outside talking to friends when a black four-door vehicle drove by and began firing shots. The victim was struck once in the chest and is listed in stable condition at an area hospital. Police are Investigating. At this time there are no suspects in custody.

At 2:30 am city police responded to a shooting in front of the Motorcycle Club in the 7800 of North Broadway. Upon arrival police discovered a 35 year old male shot in the face and abdomen, a 31 year old black male shot in the back and a 56 year old black male shot in the leg. Police were called to a local hospital just before noon Saturday for the death of a two year old boy. The child has been identified as two year old Malik Duff of the 1100 block of East Linton in north city. Police have been conducting interviews with different people but are waiting for an autopsy to be performed to determine a cause. Investigators are ruling the death as suspicious at this time.

Five people were killed last night in a head-on collision on route 00 near Farmington, Mo. A Pontiac GTO driven by Walter Barker of Farmington was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound Cadillac driven by Yvonne Fulton, also of Farmington.
