Shortly after 8:30pm city police responded to a shooting at West Florissant and Mimika in north St. Louis. Police found a 45 year old female shot in the chest. She has been transported urgent to an area hospital. We have no word as to whether police have a suspect or a motive.

Today at 5:54PM, police were called to Wesley and Fair for an accident and a report of shots fired relative to the accident. Witnesess state that a van and car where involved in an accident, with the van striking a church and report of 5 to 6 shots being fired. City police are investigating a double shooting that took place at 11:50 pm Saturday in the 2200 block of Benton. Two males, ages 29 and 36, were injured in a drive by shooting when a passenger in a gray vehicle leaned out of the sunroof and began firing. The victims are in stable condition. Shortly after 11:20 pm Saturday night in the 1200 block of Bryant a 21 year old woman, who had just exited her car, was approached by a man who showed a gun and demanded her cell phone and money. After stealing her belongings the suspect took her car and drove east on O'Fallon Avenue. A short time later he crashed the vehicle into an apartment building located at 1937 Carr. Police are Investigating the shooting a of 27 year old man in the 2500 block of Hodiamont in north St. Louis city. The victim states he was walking down the street when he was approached by a group of black males who opened fire. The victim is in serious but stable condition at an area hospital. Police have no suspect or a motive at this time. The shooting occurred at 11:20pm last night.

City police are reporting a case of animal cruelty from the 3500 block Pennsylvania in south St. Louis city. A resident left her home between the times of 12:45-5:15 pm Saturday and accidentally left her door unlocked. When she arrived home she discovered her cat and dog dead in front of her door. East St. Louis police are looking for the person who set City Councilman Delbert Marion's car on fire early Friday morning. The incident took place in front of Marion's home at around 1 am. Marion, a former police chief in East St. Louis, is one of three city council members in favor of early closing times for the city's bars and nightclubs.

There was a shooting in the 2900 block of Newstead shortly after 9:15pm Saturday night. A 19 year old male and female had just left a store and were driving away when they heard shots fired. The male driver was hit in the thigh, the female was struck in the forearm. The male victim drove both to the hospital were they were treated for their injuries. Neither victim saw a suspect. Police are investigating.

Shortly after 11pm Saturday night there was a stabbing in the 4400 block of Elmbank in north St.Louis. A resident responded to man a knocking on the front door to find the person had been stabbed. At 4:17am city police responded to an alarm sounding at Sweetie Pies restaurant located in the 4200 block of Manchester. Upon arrival police discovered a shattered door. Friday morning around 4:30 a.m., the Lincoln County Sheriffs Office received a call that a body was discovered alongside the northbound lane of Ridge Road just before the State Highway KK intersection.
