that JOSEPH PERRONE, age 44, of Fairview Heights, Illinois pled guilty on Friday, September 25,
2009, in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois to an indictment charging him with
"Distribution of Cocaine, Resulting in Death."

26 year old Troy Franklin of the 800 block of Forest Ave. in St. Charles plead guilty to Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Armed Criminal Action on 9/8/09. He was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

It happened just before 4:00 a.m. in the 3600 block of Cottage.

Police say the victim is a man in his 30's.

He was reportedly shot in the throat.

No word yet on any suspects or a motive in this case.

Around 10AM on September 4, a man robbed First Bank at 1281 Graham Road in Florissant.

The robber passed a note to the teller. He did not show or imply he had a weapon. He fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash. Through investigation, local law enforcement arrested a suspect and recovered the money within an hour of the crime.
