St. Louis: Federal case involving fire starter heats up

Jason D. Stahlman, 31, of Gerald, MO, was indicted by a federal grand jury on one felony count of arson. According to United States Attorney Michael W. Reap, on August 31, 2008, Stahlman set fire and destroyed the Leslie Depot Bar and Restaurant at 220 Main Street, Leslie, MO. If convicted, he faces a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.

St. Louis: Homicide suspect on the loose, police need your help

Police are asking for your help in locating D'Angelo D. Tate, a 26 year old black male who was arrested for a homicide in June, 2008. Warrants for 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action were issued against Tate. Tate was released on bond in November, 2008. On August 18, 2009, his bond was revoked and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Tate's last known address was in the 3800 block of Cottage.

The Circuit Attorney's Office issued warrants on August 22nd for 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action against Antonio M. Nolan, a 31 year old black male. Nolan is in police custody and is being held without bond.

St. Louis County: Sex offenders following the rules, mostly

On July 2, 2009, St. Louis County Police Chief Timothy Fitch announced that the St. Louis County Sex Offender Registration and Enforcement Unit had achieved a 100 percent compliance rate for the first time since its inception in 1995.

Of the 599 registered sex offenders, all were found compliant. Recent legislation has increased the number of individuals who have to register in St. Louis County to 756.

South County: Bank robbery

(KMOV) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery in south St. Louis County.

It happened just after 10:00 a.m. at the Commerce Bank in the 10,100 block of Gravois.

Authorities say that a man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note stating that he had a weapon.
