LOCATION: 5700 block of Goodfellow Place
DATE/TIME: 11/4/09 @ 7:15 p.m.
VICTIM: Mark S. Rhodes, 28 year old black male of the 5900 block of Pershing
Police responded to the 5700 block of Goodfellow Place for a shooting and discovered
the victim. He had been shot in the chest, shoulder and hand and was pronounced dead at
the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

VICTIM: Patrick Hines, 27 year old black male of the 8900 block of Newby
Police responded and discovered the victim. He had been shot in the chest and was
pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses say they heard a gunshot and saw two black
males running from the scene, but police have no further information at this time. The
investigation is ongoing.

DATE/TIME: 11/2/09 @ 4:10 a.m.
VICTIM: 41 year old black male
SUSPECT: black male
The victim was sleeping in his residence when he heard someone enter the garage. The
victim went to investigate and saw a burglar in the garage. The victim then fired shots at
the suspect, striking him in the chest. The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he
was listed in critical/unstable condition. The victim's gun was registered and he had all
the proper permits. The investigation is ongoing.

VICTIM: 29 year old black male
The victim was outside when the suspects, described only as two younger black males in
dark clothing, approached him. The suspects then shot the victim. He was shot once in
the shoulder. The victim was taken to an area hospital and listed in serious but stable
condition. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim was walking east on St. Louis Ave when he saw a group of people arguing.
The victim stated he continued walking and heard gunshots. He was shot once in the arm.
He was taken to area hospital and listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

St. Louis City police are investigating two overnight carjackings. The first occurred in the 4100 block of Kossuth just before 2 am. A female victim had just parked her car in front of a residence when she notice a burgundy colored vehicle drive by her and then turnaround. The vehicle parked across the street from her and two black males got out of the car and stole her personal belongings and her 2007 Kia Optima at gun point. The second incident occurred in the 4000 block of Oregon at 2:20 am. In this incident two hispanic teens were sitting in a gray, 2005 Chevy pickup when three black males approached, pointed guns at victims and ordered them out of the truck. The suspects then got in the vehicle and fled. No one was hurt in either incident.
