An adult male is dead after an early morning house fire in East St. louis. The fire occured in the 2900 block of St. Clair Avenue. Nine people lived in the home. There were no other injuries. The American Red Cross is working the scene.

There is a large downtown fire in Centralia, IL. The fire began around 9am. The location is the 300 block of East Broadway. Nearby fire departments from Salem, Mt. Vernon and Sandoval are also assisting.

The fire began in an historic building that is now a saloon/restaurant. The building houses other businesses.

A man is dead following shooting in north St. Louis.

It happened Wednesday evening near the corner of Lotus and Union.

Investigators recovered a rifle at the scene.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Another person was also injured. He was shot in the hand.

Police have not released any information about possible suspects or a motive in this case.
