News Release Around 10AM on September 4, a man robbed First Bank at 1281 Graham Road in Florissant. The robber passed a note to the teller. He did not show or imply he had a weapon. He fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash. Through investigation, local law enforcement arrested a suspect and recovered the money within an hour of the crime.
Shortly before 1:30 this morning East St. Louis Police responded to a shooting at the intersection of 15th and Lynch. Upon arrival they found a deceased black female shot in the chest. The victim has been identified as 30 year old Keyatia Gibson from the 1000 block of North 14th Street in East St.Louis. Police Chief Lenzie Stewart says this is an area known for drugs and prostitution. At this time authorities have no suspect or motive. ... The Venice Police Department received a call of a shooting on September 5, 2009 at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the rear of a residence located at 1003 Market Street, Venice, Illinois. The shooting resulted in the death of Chaunicie E. Dukes, age 24, from Granite City, Illinois. Dukes was found shot outside the residence. Numerous shots were fired during this incident. |
