FARMINGTON, Mo. (AP) -- Animal abuse charges are sought against an eastern Missouri man after three horses died from injuries sustained while being hauled in a trailer. The horses were among six hauled Saturday to Farmington Livestock Barn, where they were to be sold. Authorities say four stallions and two mares were untied and together in the trailer. A Humane Society of Missouri official says the horses fought inside the trailer. Heat was also a factor in their deaths. St. Francois County Sgt. Randy Tate says the Ellington man who hauled the horses did not own them. He described him as a "simple" man who didn't know any better. Two surviving horses had cuts and abrasions from biting and kicking. The third survivor had several superficial wounds. ------ Information from: Daily Journal, http://dailyjournalonline.com 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

any moron would know not to put that combination together. Charge him and the owner that he hauled them for.
I'm sure he had to hear them fighting or feel the trailer moving .Really come on he really shouldn't be driving if he was that (simple) who loaded the horses in the trailer? My frist thought was get what you can out them .Sale them for dog food or glue if have to.
