Missouri Highway Patrol news release Captain Ronald S. During the eight-hour project, 14 troopers focused their attention on violations that occurred in the construction/work zone on MO 100 between Washington, Missouri, and Interstate 44. As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 104 summonses and 79 warnings were issued. Of those summonses, 53 individuals were cited for exceeding the speed limit and 23 for no seat belt. The remainder of the summonses were issued for miscellaneous violations, and one subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant. During the eight-hour project, 125 vehicles were stopped for various traffic violations. Captain Johnson said, "These types of operations that are conducted in construction/work zones make it safer for the motoring public, contractors, and state employees. Please obey the reduced speed limits and be attentive while driving through construction zones." 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

Nonsense! The workers are nowhere near the road and 45 mph is too slow. Another money grubbing effort. Go catch real criminals.
call it what it is, a speed trap! the state needs the money! the last day of the month wouldn't have anything to do with it, was the word QUOTA ever used?
