Matt Chambers: March 2007 ArchivesHi everybody. Matt here in the weather center... My wife will tell you, I'm a chronic worrier. I'm on of those people that just doesn't feel comfortable unless I have something to worry about. If I'm not worried about something, I must be getting lazy, or forgetting something about which I should be worried. That probably explains why I'm always carrying around a to-do list, along with my Pocket PC -- I've got to have my calendar w... Hi everyone. Matt here in the weather center. I'll be spending a lot of time today trying to figure out when and where thunderstorms might develop in our area over the next 24 hours. I just received an updated forecast from the Storm Prediction Center (they are responsible for issuing thunderstorm and tornado watches across the country)...
This is "Severe Weather Awareness Week" in Illinois. Not to worry Missouri, your turn comes next week. As part of the preparations for the Spring severe weather season, Illinois holds its statewide tornado drill today at 10:00 AM. Outdoor sirens will sound in many Illinois communities. THIS IS ONLY ... Hi everybody -- Matt here in the weather center... Steve's blog entry below offers details on the total lunar eclipse that we experienced here over the weekend. There was some concern that the clouds may not clear in time for a good viewing. But, photos sent in by some of our viewers show that the clouds cleared just in time to snap a few good shots.
