Kristen Cornett: January 2008 ArchivesWind, storms, rollercoaster temperatures and snow are all in the forecast this week. Conditions will remain windy ahead of a cold front that will move through on Tuesday. There is a risk of strong storms with potentially damaging winds mainly early on Tuesday. Behind the front, a very strong northwest wind will bring in much colder temperatures. As a matter of fact, I expect Tuesday's noon temperature at about 60 degrees ... What a ride it's been! The month started out cold but then we set record high temperatures on the 6th and 7th of January. It's hard to remember those two 73 degree days when you're dealing with single digit temperatures! Those temperatures combined with a strong cold front on the 8th helped to bring severe thunderstorms and a quick end to the warm-up.
