Not much left in the city this morning but outer counties still had a light coat of white. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect in northern and western portions of the News 4 viewing area where we could see some additional accumulations of an inch or less. Very little additional accumulations are expected in the metropolita... I think it's reasonable to expect chilly weather on Thanksgiving day. Last year it was in the mid 60s on Wednesday but on Thanksgiving day the high was only 38 degrees. This year we've been enjoying a nice mild trend that should continue through the holiday. While severe convective storms and flooding certainly pose a significant threat to life and property, Winter weather can also be severe in it's own way. Wednesday will continue that trend. As a strong low pressure system and attendant cold front steam in our direction out of the Great Basin, our southerly winds will drive temperatures well into the 70s.
