You never really know what your cat is thinking. That sleepy, stupid stare could mean anything ... "I'm hungry," "I'm angry," "I just hid your socks again," "I might try to kill you while you sleep," "I know how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop" .... Take Jackie Ellery's cat, Tango, for example. The morning that Tango disappeared, he probably shot her a look that said, "Today, I plan to eat, sleep, poop, sleep, chase my tail, sleep and eat some more." But what that look really meant was, "Today, I'm going to be a star."
According to The Daily Mail, Ellery tuned into a show called "Question Time" on BBC1 later that night and spotted a familiar face on the tube. It was Tango, busting a televised chill beneath a table of panelists droning on and on about politics and other boring, non-cat related material. At first, all of the talking heads were oblivious to the striped streaker, but eventually one of the politicians noticed Tango and mouthed the word "cat" to a member of the production crew. That crewmember was able to scoot onto the back of the set and give Tango the hook, so to speak. Ellery caught her pet's television debut thanks to a friend. Ellery said she was sitting around, absentmindedly wondering where Tango was when her buddy called and said, "Have you seen your cat on the telly?" Amused by Tango's antics, Ellery said he's become something of a celebrity since his brush with the big time. "I've even been asked for his paw-tograph," Ellery told The Daily Mail. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
