Price Gougin': Pained gas pumpers break out in song

Pained pumpers at a convenience store in Indiana were so put out by outrageous gas prices Monday that they broke out in song.

Seriously.

A dude with a guitar and a megaphone climbed up on top of the gas station roof and started signing a little ditty he called "Price Gougin,'" to the delight of broke motorists and their sad, empty wallets below, The Associated Press reports.

Jay Weinberg's song was so catchy that dozens of supporters below him sang along: "I can't afford it. I'm banging on my dashboard. I can't believe they think I'm a fool."

But police weren't so into it.

The show lasted for 15 minutes before three cops were able to arrest the cash-strapped troubadour.

He was taken into custody on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

But you can't stop the music, people.

The crowd of Weinberg's friends and random gas station customers kept right on singing, even after he was arrested.

Later, a few of them drove to jail and bailed him out.

He left the building around 7:30 p.m., greeted by cheers and a most satisfying sense of having stuck it to the man.

Right on, gas dude. Right on.

LOL ;D i am cracking up, u know sometimes the only way to get thru these times is just to do silly little things like that and get a good laugh out of it. I am glad he had friends and customers who needed a good laugh to bail him out. Way to go gas guy

I think businesses should close on Sunday to conserve energy and gasoline. They should also close early at 9:00pm. think of the energy we could save! People could spend more time with their families too. Maybe the government will see how everyone is trying to conserve to make the world a better place.
