Unfortunately, the fine people of Dublin, Ireland, do not read this blog, and they've been clogging the phone lines at their local zoo for two weeks, news.com.au reports.

It seems a prankster has been sending out urgent texts from C Lion, Rory Lyons, Anna Conda, G. Raffe and friends to everyone and ... well ... their dog.

And they're leaving the zoo's digits as the emergency callback number.

"This is proving to be a very serious waste of our time and resources," the zoo said.

And you thought your teenager was bad. The furry fiends' lusts for telecommunication has proven so insatiable, the zoo has been forced to field more than 100,000 calls.

"It might be kind of funny the first few times but we have lost our sense of humor now with calls coming in at a rate of about 13 a minute. The system is pretty much choked," zoo marketing manager Veronica Crisp told RTE state radio.
