The year's biggest wedding!

(Except for mine, of course ... ha.)

First twin (and fellow Texas ex! Hook 'em!) Jenna Bush will marry Henry Hager back on the Crawford Ranch on May 10. The two have dated for several years, and they look really happy in pictures. (Yeah, I read a lot of celeb/gossip blogs, so?)

She opted to not have a White House wedding, and to this I say: You go, girl! I think it's awesome she's decided to stay true to her Texas roots and get married on her family's ranch. Before making the Crawford location decision, she did consider the WH wedding at one point.

"That's not really my personality," she told Vogue magazine. "There's a glamour to it, I know, but Henry and I are far less glamorous than the White House."

I wouldn't say she's far less glamorous than the WH, but I do see her as more of a bride who wants a smaller wedding close to home. (I mean I don't know her, but yeah I ran into her once at a Midtown bar.)

Women's Wear Daily has reported that superstar designer Oscar de la Renta has designed Jenna's dress. Bush family friend and Dallas native Lela Rose has designed the dresses for her 14 friends in her house party, who all get to wear different colors! They were inspired by Texas wildflower colors.

She is already a nicer bride than I am, allowing her girls to choose from a variety. I haven't seen many weddings where the girls get to wear different colors, but I have noticed some parties wearing dresses of different styles. Her twin sister, Barbara, is her only bridesmaid and will reportedly be in blue.

No word on what her wedding band looks like, but this is her ring:

You're classy man with classy taste, Henry. When asking President Bush for permission to marry Jenna, he said, "I want to marry your daughter."

President Bush told the Associated Press he answered, "Done deal." Boom!

The Wedding Belles are really excited to follow a fellow Texan's wedding and can't wait to pour over pictures and every detail. We have so many questions! I can't believe she's still taking time out to go a Houston-area school and talk to kids about the importance of reading; you've got it all together. I can hardly remember to deal with my violent petticoat.

Call me Jenna! This would be the most laid-back interview of your life. We can talk bride-to-bride.

Best wishes to the bride and groom from the WB. :)

Will be a sales tax break on the same day she goes and buys all her stuff?

How I wish a WH Wedding for Jenna, but then, she made a good decision. She will make her hometown happy and the people there very proud of her. I will be praying for you both, as I have been praying for the entire First Family. GOD BLESS YOU AND STAY IN LOVE AND HAPPY WITH EACH OTHER.
