Ahhh, freak out! (le freak, so chic)

Things are heating up in AMC's world. We're just three days away from the three-month mark (three months, Taylor!), which means theknot.com's countdown ticker reads under 100 days.

WHA? I have fewer than 100 days to get all of this stuff done? Is this a joke? I have more to do than the average bear, people.

Matt and I had a whirlwind week that was up and down, and we were out-of-pocket for more than a few days. Now I have a giant game of catch-up (a la "Office Space"), and I think I'm going to be at maximum speed until Aug. 16.

First of all, we stopped at a Dollar Tree in Kerrville to fix this centerpiece situation. We only got 16 vases, so I'm looking for seven more. Bless that tiny town and its lack of weddings. Every time I've gone into a local Dollar Tree, someone has just bought-out all the 5-inch bubble vases. How DARE they?! (kidding, since this is exactly what we did) I might end up breaking down and paying the $3 for each vase from Hobby Lobby, but dang it -- DO NOT WANT! The dollar store, recommended by my florist, has a stupid amount of party supplies. And yeah, they're all $1.

Second: Parties, parties, parties. Taylor and I have a work wedding shower this weekend, and I am really excited! It officially marks the start of my shower season. And unofficially, I haven't found cute thank you cards. Should I get ones that just have "AMC" on them, or should they say "Adrienne + Matt" or just say "Thanks" or what? Obviously I cannot use my new monogram yet (which will be AMO, btw), or I'd be sporting the super cute L.L. Bean tote the even-cuter bridesmaid Christine got me for Christmas. (you temptress!) Thoughts on the cards? Anyone? Bueller?

Third: I just have a lot to do. Did I mention we don't have a place in Denver yet? Yeah ... about that. Eek! It's the dark cloud looming over my head, the subtext to all my plans; this would be much easier if I didn't have a move to plan.

I have always loved being busy and abhorred being bored, but OOF this is a lot.

I think you should go ahead and start breaking in AMO early.

Calmly go over everything that is left to do and see if you can delegate some of these things to someone you trust.

Dollar Tree, can they not order them for you??? An aunt of mine threw a quince (flashback of your earlier post LOL) and ordered stuff through one of those dollar stores. They came in within days of her ordering them.

Thank you cards...seriously...whenever I receive them for whatever, they get looked at and then trashed. The most important thing in a thank you card is the sentiment that you write not the monogram on the front. I love reading the 'thank you for so and so, we will be able to use this...you get the idea. Oh and don't write the same thing on every thank you card. Good luck!!

Just so you all know, we had an entire shopping cart full of those vases. They even scoured the backroom for extras. And on our long drive home, Adrienne wanted to stop at another Dollar Tree in Fredericksburg to see if we could clean them out too. This is why I'm not in charge of our decorations. (Honey, what am I in charge of again?)

You're in charge of looking cute and saying, "Yes."

We should have stopped in F-ville, and then I could have crossed this off of my giant to-do list!!

Thanks for the shout out, oh favorite bride-to-be of mine! I am a temptress, aren't I? ;) I think "Adrienne and Matt" on the cards might be nice or just go with a cute "Thank you". Let me know if you want me to check out the dollar store on my street and send you a large, breakable package.

Ugh, I meant Temptress. I hate typos. Couldn't let my editor friend down.

As a Wedding Planner who has done some really budget tight weddings, I may be able to help. Email me with your questions, budget and whats been done. Nothing like free advice!

You could always just contact a realtor or property manager in Denver, tell them what you want, and have them just send you listings via email...that way you don't have to spend hours on craigslist, etc. :)

I got my thank you cards from Arne's. I figured I spent enough on the nice invitations, that it really didn't matter what the Thank You's looked like. And, FYI, I saw some cute cheap Thank you cards at Michaels. I don't know if they will "match" what you are looking for, but they're there!
