I'm a fan of fans!

When I tell my friends I'm having my wedding outside in August, I can almost see them thinking of a way to kill me and make it look like an accident.

But I'm not a sadist, people. I'm providing fans.

Yay!

Instead of traditional programs that will more than likely become impromptu wind-making devices for our wedding guests anyway, I've taken out the middle man and had my programs printed on fun little fans on sticks!

(It's at this point that I have to admit that this, too, was my mother's idea. It's not as though I have a dearth of activity in my own head, rather I have a brain filled with things like the lyrics to every annoying 80s song ever written and the entire script of 'Ace Ventura,' and there just isn't room for much wedding-related idea-having in there.)

You can order the fans online. I used this place called The Little Bridal Shop. They have a bunch of templates you can choose from, or you can just design them yourself.

We (meaning, once again, my mom) decided to personalize our fans a little bit more by tying a black and white polka dot ribbon around each one once they come in the mail.

I think our guests will appreciate it. And even if they don't, they better act like they do or I'll go B-Zilla on them like it's my job.

That's right.

Be afraid, guests. Be very afraid.

Score one for Mama T again! I think it's a great idea for an outdoor wedding. Can I request an oscillating fan to keep the B-maids cool and to accomplish that wind blown hair look? Just a thought...

Dude when are you bringing one of those bad boys to work so we can drool over it together?? :)
