DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A central Iowa couple is suing the restaurant where they held their rehearsal dinner the night before their November 2006 wedding.

Andrew and Sara Slagle of Clive held their reception at Trostel's Greenbriar Restaurant and Bar in Johnston. The couple claims they along with their 20 guests became ill after eating at the restaurant.

When you register for gifts, it's important that you know what you're looking for. It sounds easy, but for me ... well ... not so much.

In my apartment, it's a culinary feat to successfully microwave a bag of popcorn without getting the Houston Fire Department involved. I eat out of little plastic Lean Cuisine containers. I'm not even sure I own a working coffee pot.

Despite the tireless efforts of my mother, I am something of a domestic failure.

Welcome gifts -- discuss

Are the welcome gifts for guests something started recently, just like wedding favors? Is this another stressful thing to add to my expense list?

Matt and I are going to a wedding this weekend (my first Jewish one; I am super excited to have this experience), and the groom (very politely) asked in which hotel we were staying. He wanted to know, because he wanted to know where to send our welcome gift.

Our wha?
