St. Peter's Square goes High Tech

This is Vicente Arenas blogging from Vatican City. 6:40pm Rome time.

Wednesday November 21, 2007. You know one of the first things that caught my eye when walking up to St. Peter's square today wasn't the ancient statues - it was several huge flat panel jumbotrons.

They make it much easier for the thousands of people who were packing the square to see the Pope who gave his weekly address this morning.

It's just kind of odd to see the these ancient statues next to modern day technology.
