I knew something hadn't gone quite right when the Pope placed his hands on Cardinal DiNardo's head during the elevation ceremony today. But it was hard to tell what exactly had happened through the tiny screen on my digital camera. Here's what I saw.
Look real close. You can see Cardinal DiNardo's red skull cap called a zuchetto slip towards the back of his head. Cardinal DiNardo is forced to adjust his beretta - the red hat with three rounded points on top. I asked Cardinal DiNardo about the most special time during the ceremony today and that's when told us about the spitirual moment and then laughed and let us in on the slip of the hat.
