Darby,
Who can I contact about the cameras on the highway? I was in a accident about a month ago, and I was charge "at fault" but it was not my fault.
I noticed that there's a camera pointing to where the accident was, and I was wondering if I can see the accident. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
David
David,
Unfortunately for you, there is no way to see your accident. All the cameras are monitored at Houston Transtar and there are literally thousands of cameras to look at 24/7 but the logistics to put recorders on all of them is unbelievable. Maybe someday they will but for now you're out of luck. Sorry for your dilemma.
Darby
Howdy, Darby...
I have been watching your excellent traffic reports for years, but this morning's coverage of the burning truck on the North Freeway brought a question to my mind: Is there really any point in saying (repeatedly) "If you're within the sound of my voice, you should......."? The only people hearing the words "if you're within the sound of my voice" are the people who are within the sound of your voice.
All best wishes for Christmas and the New Year,
Rusty Shepherd
The video is certainly recordable. The issue I believe is just that they probably dont want to provide video clips for everyone with accident reports. When they are able to start billing people for video requests, Im sure you'll be able to get a copy.
