According to Webster's dictionary the definition of a thief is: one that steals especially stealthily or secretly; also: one who commits theft or larceny. The dictionary's definition does not show the true evil of the word thief.
Stealing is never a good resort to anything.
Even people who are extremely poor work hard for what they have and they are proud of their honest work.
There are other people on the other hand who steal for a living.
It doesn't matter if you steal a penny or a million dollars stealing is stealing. Stealing is always wrong and it puts grief and troubles in the victim's life.
It upsets me when I hear about people getting their belongings stolen. It makes them feel helpless and violated because they lose an item or something that they worked hard for.
On Sunday January 13, 2008 the 1988 Chevy truck that my grandfather gave me was stolen.
When I first got the truck it was just a regular old pickup but by the time my family and I got done restoring this regular pickup it became the most beautiful thing that I ever laid my eyes on.

So much love, hard work, time, and money I saved from weekend and summer jobs from freshman to senior year was put into the restoration of the gift that my Grandparents gave me.
The truck was a beautiful thing but the thing that I loved the most about the truck were the memories that my family and I had while we were fixing it and the look on my grandfathers face when I showed him the truck after it was restored.
The truck was more of a sentimental possession than material possession. I can not express how enraged and upset I am with the people who took my truck. It just goes to show that there are evil people in this world who do not have anything better to do with their lives.
If any thieves read this I would like to say that all you do is destroy and demean the hard work and sacrifices that people put into what they have. You are one of the diseases that plague our society, interrupt and bring pain in people's lives, and you have no respect for people's feelings and for the hard work that honest people do.

This goes out to the thieves out there and especially to the ones that took my truck, "you make me sick and in the end you will get what is coming to you". Although you stole my truck you did not steal my dignity, memories, hard work ethic, and the respect I have for people and their possessions.
For everyone who has had something stolen from you I know how you feel and I am truly sorry for what you had to endure when it happened to you.
Here are some before and after pictures of my truck. Please be on the look out for it and if you see it, please report it to the police. Thank you.
Peace,
Antonio
Mr. Delgado, what an "off the hook", "off the chain" and "over the top" truck. I am sorry to hear about your lose. God, who sits high and sees everything, is going to be your revenger. Revenge is mine said the Lord. They(the theives) are going to pay. My prayer is that your truck will be returned to you and your family.
Dear Antonio,
I am so mad at these people that took your truck.Have faith in the Lord and remember all happends for a reason. I know that this is of little comfort to you right now. But trust me a better car is on its way. I know it!!!!!! Hopefully someone will read your article and make a donation. You are a great young man. I am so impressed with your writing.
Peace to you,
Mrs. M. Boitel
Antonio,
What a great piece you wrote. I hope that your blog makes another person out there think before they do such a selfish act. Don't let those thieves steal your memories and good feelings also; they have already stolen enough!
I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy. I do thank god that you or no one else was physically hurt during this act. It's good to see that you took a terrible personal experience & shared it with others. I know this was a hard learning experience but you have come out the better person.
Take care,
Your fav coach
Dear Antonio, when i was 16 years old i was given a 1990 volvo from my parents as a first car.The car was a hand me down and a lot of personal work and time was put into to make it MY OWN CAR. I know how it feels to have something so valuable taken away. Although my car was not stolen it was undrivable when i had to get rid of it. You were right on when you said people who steal are a plague to our society. If i see your beautiful truck i will most definately call the police.
