Robert Gadsby will be at Houston's Wine ConferenceCalling all foodies! The highly anticipated Wine Conference is happening this weekend and you won't want to miss it.

Not only will you be chatting it up and sipping wine with some of the US's most famous chefs, wine experts and food critics, you'll also get to hang out with a few that have reached celebrity status like Iron Chef contestant Robert Gadsby (most recently of Bedford's fame).

I must admit, I love that show and am tempted to go just to find out what it was like.

But you won't just be hanging out with who I call the "Great Gadsby," you'll also see James Beard award-nominated Monica Pope of t'afia, Food & Wine magazine's "Best New American Chef" Scott Tycer and Plinio Sandalio of Textile, Randy Rucker of Rainbow Lodge, Carmelo Mauro of Carmelo's, Jonathan Jones of Beavers and Clive Berkman.

"We wanted to create a wine event on a more intimate scale that would focus on educating our attendees and allow them personal access to renowned experts", said Wine Conference co-founder Geri Druckman.

In addition to the educational and mingling side of the event, you'll also taste 50 wines from around the world and sample food from Houston's finest chefs. I swear, this event sounds like a wine and food-lovers dream come true...and Druckman agrees.

"The Wine Conference is a unique opportunity to experience the finest food and wine with leading experts in a fun, unpretentious environment," Druckman said.

There will also be sessions featuring wine luminaries Gary Vaynerchuk, founder and Host of Wine Library TV; Guy Stout, Master Sommelier, CWE; Denman Moody, Wine Writer and Critic; Shawn Dougherty, CSW, Sommelier, CSWE; and Richard Shaffer, of Israeli Wine Direct.

Tickets for the premier Wine Connoisseur track are $149 each; tickets for the Wine Enthusiast track are $85 each. Limited space is available. Find out more, visit: http://www.TheWineConference.com.
