screamworld.jpgScreamWorld Scream Park is opening this weekend and to help frighten away the recession, they are letting the first 8,000 unemployed visitors and service personnel including policeman, firemen and active military men and women in for free.

But the free scary fun doesn't stop there. They will also allow up to three members of their family in for free, too. However, they don't recommend that you bring children under the age of 12 as they may end up with nightmares - and that's just not fun.

To qualify for the free tickets, you'll need to be over 18 and be able to show a current payment stub or other formal state identification that verifies your receipt of unemployment benefits.

Firemen, police and military families must present their government issued identification cards.

Of course, if you're working you can still partake in the scary fun. You'll just have to pay $25 to get in.

Oh... and here's the fine print: The deal is only good for September 25 and 26.

For detailed information, please visit www.screamworld.com.

ScreamWorld Houston is located at 2225 N. Sam Houston Parkway (Beltway 8), between Ella and T.C. Jester, 1.5 miles west of I-45.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
