Sugarbaby's Cupcake Boutique seems to think the same way. That's because all next week (Sept. 21) they are selling specially decorated cupcakes and donating a $1 for every cupcake sold to CancerCare for Kids, a program that provides free, professional support services to children affected by cancer. Now I think that's sweet...and it's not just the sugar talking. "It's such a fun opportunity for the whole community to give back in a sweet way. This is our second year to join Cupcakes for a Cause and we're hoping we can beat last year's donation," said Bridget Gould, owner of Sugarbaby's. The cupcakes will have a candy version of the smiley-face icon of the CancerCare for Kids program. But wait...there's even more sugary goodness. Sugarbaby's has a little incentive to get people to drop by. They will be giving out $20 gift cards to 1-800-FLOWERS.COMĀ® to the first 100 customers to buy a cupcake during Cupcakes Week. A complete list of bakeries participating in the week-long event nationwide can be found at www.cupcakesforacause.org. |
