Rain totals in some spots could exceed 5" today as a slow moving cold front takes all day to push through the area. Most places will see 1"-3" rain totals and i expect to see widespread street flooding and ponding on roadways today.

These pacific cold fronts are becoming more common and it's really beginning to look like El Nino is effecting Texas as planned with much needed rain. Another wet pacific system will push in Thursday and Friday with another round of rain.
