If you ever get behind the wheel in Houston, we have a new tool to keep you one step ahead of traffic snarls. KHOU has just launched "Beat the Traffic" -- it's a new way to bring you current traffic conditions and show you how to get around the biggest messes on the roadways.

Did you know that there are hundreds of sensors that detect driver's speeds along Houston's busiest freeways? With "BTT" (Beat the Traffic), we tap into that data to warn you about slow-downs and explain how to avoid them. BTT can actually predict your drive time down to the minute! We also have access to over six hundred Houston TranStar cameras to show you live video of the freeways you travel every day.
