Clear Creek ISD students have come together to launch Operation CRAYON (Children Rallying Assistance for Youth of Need) to help young Ike victims.

It is a clothing and school supply drive run by students of Clear Creek ISD.

Businesses and individuals interested in participating in Operation CRAYON can help CCISD collect the following items for students in need:

- New or gently used clothing
- Standardized dress attire
- New backpacks
- School supplies
- Monetary donations are also being accepted

You can make your donation at McWhirter Elementary, 300 Pennsylvania Avenue in Webster, Texas.

This is also the same location where CCISD will be enrolling children displaced by Hurricane Ike beginning Monday, September 22, 2008.

I know that there is a nonprofit organization where you can choose from a list of schools to adopt. It's even tax deductible. www.adoptaclassroom.com.
