Sam Houston Electric Cooperative's power restoration efforts are in full swing. Crews spent much of Saturday clearing downed lines from roadways and assessing damage to the system. Damage assessment is continuing today (Sunday) by air and by ground. As of this morning, all meters are without power. Much of the Entergy's transmission system, which feeds our distribution system, is damaged and efforts to repair their transmission lines are underway as well.
