One million lose power

At 1:00 a.m. Saturday, CenterPoint reports one million customers have lost power.

The outages are widespread.

Ike's winds are downing trees and power lines all over the area.

CenterPoint warns it could take as long as two weeks to restore power in some areas.

The number of people without power continues to grow as Ike gets closer to Texas.

CenterPoint reported 315,000 customers in the dark at 9:30 p.m.

The outages are widespread.

CenterPoint crews will not be able to begin restoring power until after the storm passes.
