One of the purposes of this licensing is to ensure that contractors who will be working on properties in Friendswood are licensed and insured. ...Red Cross emergency feeding efforts are focused on areas where residents need food due to flooding and/or power outages. Red Cross mobile feeding routes and fixed feeding sites will be adjusted daily to meet local needs. The American Red Cross has delivered clean up kits to central locations throughout the area to help residents of hurricane impacted areas make their homes livable again. Clean Up Kits include such things as a mop, broom, bucket, gloves and bleach for general clean up. These supplies are free of charge. ... American Red Cross feeding sites in Calcasieu Parish for Sunday, Sept 21st will serve hot lunches between 11am - 1pm and hot dinners between 4pm and 6pm. The locations are: ... Port Neches residents are asked to remain at their evacuation site until further notice. In the area, the curfew is still in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The services are limited, with little medical or food services. There is a point of distribution site set up at 4000 Grant Ave. (off of 39th Street) in Groves. It is a First Baptist Church. There will be water, ice and MREs at the location. Update on the City of Pasadena's storm recovery efforts • The FEMA/City of Pasadena Point of Distribution which had been located at the PAL Gym, Southmore at Red Bluff Rd., will be moved effective Tuesday, September 16 at 9 a.m. The new location will be Pasadena Memorial Stadium on Burke Rd. at Parkside, just north of Spencer Hwy. Distribution hours are set for 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The same services provided at the PAL Gym location will be available at... For those residing in Friendswood and for those wishing to return to their Friendswood homes, please be aware of the following: . Food supply is short, with dry goods coming in slowly at area grocery stores. Update from the Friendswood office of Emergency Management: At this time, it is NOT safe for Friendswood residents to return to the city. The City of Friendswood will notify residents when it is safe to return. Emergency responders are currently conducting damage assessment throughout Friendswood. Once clean up begins, citizens are asked to separate their debris as follows, in order to expedite debris removal: Chambers County has suffered extensive damage due to Ike.
