The City of League City is beginning its recovery process in the wake of HURRICANE IKE, household trash pickup has already begun and debris removal will begin by the ends of this week. City of League City residents are asked to place any storm-generated debris on the curb and off the street. Please also make sure that is away from utility poles, gas meters, water meters, fire hydrants, and other utility services. Only debris placed on the curb will be collected.

Please create four piles of trash. One for vegetative debris (such as limbs and shrubbery), a second for construction and demolition debris, a third for household trash, and a fourth for hazardous waste. These items will be collected separately. Please do not bag debris for pick-up, only loose debris will be collected. Again, any household hazardous waste, roof shingles or tires resulting from HURRICANE IKE, may be eligible for removal and should be separated at the curb.

If all debris is not picked up during the initial pass, please continue to push remaining debris to the curb for collection on subsequent passes. Please check the City of League City website www.leaguecity.com for additional information and updates on the debris removal process. For more information, please call the City's debris hotline at 281-554-1000.
