Ask Your Nurse, the Harris County Hospital District's health line, is available for individuals who have a health concern that they would like to discuss with a registered nurse to help them determine if their symptoms warrant a visit to the hospital. You can reach that number by dialing 713-633-CALL (2255). It is a free service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In some cases, callers can be given advice that will prevent their unnecessary visit to an emergency center.
