Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers and staff have been on the ground around the clock at both Houston Airports before and during Hurricane Ike. Currently, more than 370 Transportation Security Officers and TSA staff are staged at coastal airports including William P. Hobby Airport (HOU)and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The deployed security officers have assisted evacuation efforts at affected airports and have relieved local employees so that they can safely evacuate themselves and their families out of the storm's path. TSA employees have been at both Houston airports and are in place to re-establish airport operations Monday. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

If you parked at bush airport parking garage while the airport was closed Saturday and Sunday and your flight was canceled because of the storm, you will be charged for those days anyway. There isn't any mention of this that I know of anywhere but I thought it was wrong to do that because there isn't anything you can do about getting your vehicle if they close the airport. They claim that even though the airport was closed, the parking garage was open and therefore they can charge you which I think is ridiculous.
