The Office of the Attorney General Consumer Complaint Hotline, which has been overwhelmed with calls, will be staffed to take calls this weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Callers are asked to call during those hours to report price gouging or give other complains. You can also file online at the Texas Attorney General website.

The Safe Shelter Hotline will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend.
Shelter personnel are urged to contact the Safe Shelter Hotline at (866) 385-0333. After doing so, law enforcement officials with the OAG will access and share information from the states registered sex offender database. That information will help shelter personnel determine whether any of their evacuees are included on the Department of Public Safety's sex offender registry. To ensure thorough database searches, callers need to provide evacuees names, addresses and dates of birth. Shelter managers can use this information as necessary to coordinate specialized housing arrangements or take other action as appropriate.
