It is no surprise that we, as a country, are in some pretty tough economic times right now.
It seems like every day I read about another high-powered company laying off thousands.
Scary scary scary!!
So, while perusing my daily pile of celebrity gab I fell across a disgusting piece of news: Union leaders--including the president of the Screen Actors Guild--have proposed a strike authorization.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!???
If you can recall, the industry in February recovered from a 14-week strike that cost the local economy an estimated $3 billion dollars.

It was on this day, December 2nd, twenty-something years back, that the world welcomed the biggest paparazzi magnet of our generation.
In case you've been living under a media-impermeable rock, that magnet would be Ms. Britney Spears.
As vomit-inducing as it may sound, I have to pay homage to the woman that made showing your belly button the biggest parent-cringing trend of the early 2000s.
