OK. So at this point, I'm guessing even Johnnie Cochran couldn't find a reason to defend Jon Gosselin. (Especially since he's ... um ... no longer living. Thanks for ruining my lead, Wikipedia.) But the point I'm trying to make is, Jon Gosselin is the biggest marginally famous doofy greaseball in the storied history of marginally famous doofy greaseballs. And that's saying something (I'm looking at YOU, Kato). But - prepare for a shock in 3 ... 2 ... 1 - Jon is not the Gosselin I'm taking issue with today. My beef is with his soon-to-be ex-wife. According to People magazine, Kate and her lawyer-types have accused Big Poppa of swiping $230,000 out of one of the couple's joint bank accounts, leaving Kate with only $1,346 to pay bills for herself and her army of kiddos. Bad, right? People says Mega Momma's lawyers filed papers to make Jon return the money on Monday and have asked that he be held in contempt of court for accessing the funds. (Apparently an arbitrator previously made the moola a no-no for both Gosselins, with the exception of Kate using it to pay bills.) True to form, Kate hit the talk show circuit after the story broke, telling people how she's been unable to pay her bills since the money went missing. "If I have to work at McDonald's, I will do what I have to for my kids," Kate told "The View" in a weepy phone interview. Ummm ... Hold the phone, honey. You mean to tell me that this woman - she of the many book tours who, according to varied reports, was raking in at LEAST $20,000 per episode - is fixing to have to flip burgers to make ends meet in her gigantic Pennsylvania mansion? Psssh. I doubt it. What's more, People said she was on "Today" that same morning talking about ditching her wedding ring for a new one with eight diamonds and a mother of pearl. You know, because that's what cash-strapped moms of eight do after they're done serving up shakes and fries at Mickey D's. Puh-leeeeze. I feel for this woman, because she made the unfortunate decision to have a litter of children with the likes of John "ATV Romeo" Gosselin. But trying to make it sound like she's sitting over there in her freebie-laden mansion in the dark eating Ramen noodles every night is a little bit much in my book. 17 CommentsLeave a comment |

ask her what it might me like if she hadnt hit the jackpot, having her dirty laundry aired on tv and getting pd for it
there are alot of regular people out there suffereing from job loss etc...
there are working people out there just making ends meet when a MAJOR medical issue hits them and they REALLY cant pay there bills...
so stop whinning Kate and count your blessings

I keep hoping one of the twins will just walk up to some paparazzi person and tell the truth about what is going on, because I think Jon and Kate have truly lost sight of what's important (hint: there's eight of them) and are going NUTS. I sure hope these kids are the kind who aren't ever allowed to watch TV, because their parents are downright shameful.
BTW, I could not have laughed harder at "ATV Romeo."

the fact remains from a legal standpoint what Jon was highly illegally and if he did it on the advice of his new attorney who has already faced charges for this very thing he deserves contempt. Kate probably does have money but once you separate their is money put aside for bills. He was to share a home and equal time with the kids then it is not Kate's job to cover all the bills herself. He is headed for her having sole custody and him being SOL. Any money she gets since they have been separated she does not have to share with him nor him with him with her but he can't have it both ways. You want to stay in that house part time with your kids then you pay equally for it. This is basic Foundations of Law people.

All good things come to and end. Nothing lasts forever, especially between feuding spouses. These two need to realize they are not celebrities. Why do we have to keep seeing them come up, we all enjoyed watching them grow as a family...but that's pretty much it. Let these children have some kind of normalacy, without the public eye tearing up what little they have. Talk about messing a kid up. We see enough of disfunctional, broken families as it is. God Bless those children.

ok folks .............come on they are both unemployed and they have 8 precious children to feed and to maintain the life style they have come accustomed to.......ONE of the parents has to keep doin something to keep the money coming in BECAUSE.......the other parent is a total freak of nature skirt chasing moron AND this money train wont last forever. and im sure college for 8 IS NOT cheap. if i could have gotten a tv show for my group......HECK YES i would have gotten on the train and rode it FAR. the grippy ones that blog ...are the jealous ones . Just think how RICH they would be if they had STAYED TOGETHER. The love they could share over the years watching their kids grow. Funny and ironic how miserable these two have become. He now has all the women he ever dreamt of and she all the attention. His bald spot is growing and she's always crying. And, they shattered 8 hearts. Yeah - family values still rings true today as these once thought of "sweethearts" are now pond scum.

There are many hospitals in her area looking for good experienced nurses. Not in the spotlight but it does pay the bills.....................

I dont believe a word this woman says. And if she is soooo concerned about her kids, SHE NEEDS TO STAY HOME! All this media attention went to her head. Even on the show you can tell what a tirant she is. I doubt very seriously that she is broke. She always controlled everything. No wonder Jon did what he did. Dont condone it, but dont blame him either. Maybe it was the ugly haircut she has!!!
