Will you go see the Michael Jackson movie?

1:17 PM Mon, Sep 21, 2009 |
Adrienne

OK, OK, we're all a little tired of hearing about Michael Jackson, his mysterious death, the Houston connection, people bickering over money. I know. But this weekend, I went to see "The Informant!" and couldn't help notice several promotional posters for the movie they made out of his concert rehearsal tapes: "This is it."

Check out the trailer here!

I was (am) a huge MJ fan as a kid, the MJ we'd all like to remember pre-scandal and pre-this apparent drug addiction. The trailer shows a MJ who is rail-thin, but he is still dancing and singing. A few friends of mine who were really upset about his death have told me they won't go see the movie; I don't think I will either. It just seems weird.

So ... is there anyone out there who is really excited about it? Or maybe completely against it? Share your (polite) thoughts.

I definitely plan to go see the movie. I have been a fan since he and his brothers emerged as the Jackson 5.

I love MJ too, but I don't think I can deal with the sadness of seeing how much he'd deteriorated. I may stick with VH1 Classic's '80s marathons for the MJ fix.

I'm feeling mixed about it. Part of me wants to see it and the other don't. I'm trying to figure out if this movie is going to be about just his last rehearsal? One and a half hours watching his last rehearsal? I don't know.

I will definitely be attending the movie with my three kids. They love MJ because I introduced his music/video's to them @ an early age. Yes, I will be purchasing the tickets Sun.

Absolutely not, what a freak. It makes me sick to think that people immortalize him. Go away already.

Absolutely! It is our duty and privilege
to see this movie. This is what Mr.
Jackson spent the last three months of his
life working on because he wanted to share
it with us! We are tremendously privileged to be able to see it...and yes, "we will be there1"
