Congratulations, Jon and Kate haters: Your boycott of the TV show has been noted. And so has Jon's behavior, apparently. Starting Nov. 2, the show will be called "Kate Plus 8," TLC officials announced Tuesday. The Associated Press reports Jon will still be involved and appear occasionally, but the show will focus on Kate as a single mom. Here is a juicier explanation: People magazine reports an insider told them, "Given Jon's recent antics, there was no way the show could continue to portray him as a doting Dad, not while all this other crap was going on." OOF. Can't say I blame them. I can't get through a grocery store checkout without seeing a picture of Jon and some woman (any younger woman) cavorting and canoodling around the country. It's gross. Period. But the show may not go on forever. According to the NY Post, Kate Gosselin posted on her Facebook page that ratings are down, and "this might be the last season." The article says since the parents of eight announced their divorce, ratings have seriously tanked. Who can blame viewers for tuning out? The show is downright depressing, and I think it's become a documentary of a sad divorce. Some argue the couple is exploiting the kids for money and refuse to watch. Even if the show ends, it probably won't be the last you see of the Gosselin 10: Kate may be hosting a new show with I'm-so-Southern-can't-y'all-tell bacon enthusiast Paula Deen, and Jon is still rumored to be angling for a spot on a reality show with Lindsay Lohan's dad. I think they are a couple of spoiled brats and they need to grow up. They have come into a lot of money and fame and they have no boundaries in their lives. Grow up Kate and Jon.

I have NEVER understood the interest in the show, period. I REALLY can't understand what anyone thinks is so "hot" about John. He's just not all that, in my book. I say, let it all die a natural death and move on with your lives and let the kids learn about reality in the REAL world, not in TCLand.
