Does anyone else feel like Miley Cyrus is kind of a scary trainwreck waiting to happen? Talented, sure. Pretty, definitely. (Albeit a little overly made-up for a lass of 16, if you ask me.) But with every photo faux pas and pouty comment that makes headlines, I find myself thinking Cyrus is creeping ever closer to that sinister Hollywood child star scandal vortex that swallowed the likes of La Lohan and Miz Spears so many years ago. And Cyrus' latest comments in Glamour don't help her case in my book. She dishes on her boyfriend - her 20-year-old underwear model boyfriend whom she's rumored to have been dating since she was unable to drive, mind you. Cyrus says there's nothing wrong with the fact that she's just 16 and her beau, Justin Gaston, is a big boy with a high school diploma who can vote and legally obtain a navel piercing in Texas and watch rated R movies and pose semi-nude for a living.
"I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong, and I'm ready for people to accept it. I don't feel like there's anything to hide. I love him so much I don't really care," she told Glamour. Hmmm. Love is nice, but I'm not so sure what the folks at Disney who've made her so very, very wealthy would think of that sentiment. Cyrus went on to describe underwear dude as "the most respectful and selfless person" she's ever known ... you know, since she learned those words in 3rd grade 6 years ago. On the happy side, Cyrus also told Glamour that the whole Hollywood party scene is bad news, and she's not interested. "I think it's selfish to go out partying all the time, especially if you have little ones in your family. I have a 9-year-old sister, and I don't want her to go to school and have people make fun of her for it," she told Glamour. Listen, Miley Cyrus is undoubtedly good at what she does, and she's got a bright future ahead of her - presuming she can stick by those words and keep her nose clean. I'm just not sure relishing in the fact that she's - quite publicly - jailbait for Gaston is the way to do it. 5 CommentsLeave a comment |

Dood, I totally agree. Like, ew. Not to mention, I could care less what Miss Miley wants. She already has everything I want ... namely, bazillions of dollars. And all for what? Her exceptional talents? HA! Methinks not. Thank Mr. Achy Breaky for knowing how to market to those tweenies.
I hope she and her creepy older man BF live happily ever after. That is, until their relationship goes down in flames in another week or two. :)

Ok the way ya'll are going on about this you would think he was like 10+ yrs older than her! Good Lawd! Basically she's a freshman dating a senior...don't act like she's the first! If you don't want your daughter to do that then raise her the way you want and she won't...maybe. We've all been attracted to the older guy...don't be mad that Miley was able to snag hers and you couldn't.
Can't believe I'm saying all of this for her and I really don't see all of the hype about her. But it is what it is. Amazing how you soccer moms have nothing better to do but whine about what other people are doing to your kid but don't take credit for what you are not doing to/with your kid. You shelter them so much from the real world that when they have a free moment they go crazy and become drug addicts...yeah keep doing what your doing...great parents! HA!
