No, really.

Have you noticed that he wears the same buttoned-down vest in every single show? Sure they try to switch it. Some weeks he's wearing navy; other weeks it's dark gray. This week they tried matching the navy suit vest and a light gray suit which really didn't go over well and was kind of a fashion faux pas.

So what's the deal? Is it lack of budget? Does Simon Baker (the actor) have a vest fetish? Does the buttoned up vest mean something symbolical to the show and I've missed it? They let him go without a tie, but he's always wearing the crazy vest.

So I did a little research to try to find a reason for the vest.

On one fan blog, people thought he wore the vest as extra protection to cover his heart because he's so holding in so much pain. Yeah...big eye roll there.

No other site has any other insight, although there were many, like me, that were wondering why Patrick Jane/Simon Baker wore the vest.

Those who didn't like him, thought the vest looked dated. But those who loved him, commented on it's sex appeal and how the blue shirt he often wears beneath it brings out his eyes. I admit that's true, but I need more.

I'm sure there's a reason for the vest. Until then, I'll keep on watching...and wondering.
