Because let's face it, Edie Britt was never one to slink away from a sexy scene - even if it means the death of her.

So I've been doing some slinking of my own on the internet and according to one gossip column (which is probably totally unreliable, but fun to read), Edie is going to find out her husband, Dave, plans to kill her. But being the slippery femme fatale that she is, she avoids being killed by running out of the house and driving away.

She then apparently gets in some sort of car crash involving an electrical wire.

Yeah...big yawn.

Really that's it? A car crash? No hot tub bikini scene or dramatic fall from a balcony?

Man...I do hope the writers come up with something better. Edie needs a more memorable exit than just a car crash. Besides, didn't a couple of other characters finish off season ends that way in the past?

Of course, the car crash always leaves room for them to come back from dead like Frankenstein in future episodes and I am soooo over that.
